Leaf and Yard Waste

The Township of Cavan Monaghan participates in the Leaf and Yard Waste Collection provided by the County of Peterborough.

2024 Spring Leaf and Brush Curbside Collection for Cavan, Millbrook and North Monaghan residents are now scheduled.

2024 Curbside Collection Weeks

Spring

  • Week of April 29th to May 3, 2024
  • Week of May 13th to May 17th, 2024
  • Week of May 27th to May 31st, 2024

Please Note:  Collection may occur any day during the weeks listed above!!

Please have brush bundled in 3 foot lengths and leaves in paper leaf bags to the curb on Monday at 7:00 a.m. No Plastic Bags Please.  Yard waste in reusable bins will be accepted along with brown paper bags as long as there is no mixed garbage with it.  

If you have missed the Leaf and Yard Waste collection, you can drop off all year round at the Peterborough Waste Management Facility (1260 Bensfort Road, Peterborough), please see their website for applicable fees.
